Europe needs more person-centred health services. eHealth Innovation project attempts to provide insight and guidelines on how to innovate using eHealth to overcome challenges such as
The workshop focused on innovative ICT-based service solutions for chronic disease management for an ageing population. Good practice cases (a chronic care service in the Netherlands; successful patient guidance systems; patient access to their data) are analysed in their national contexts.
Successful innovation strategies require co-operation among clinician, industry, insurer, patient, and clear business perspectives. Priority challenges that need to be addressed will be identified.
